At Favorite Day Cleaning, we have a proven cleaning method. We start with a deep clean, which may require two sessions depending on the size of your home. After the deep clean, we perform a maintenance clean where we use a rotational method to efficiently sustain the cleanliness of your home. Our method is simple and highly effective!
Q. What payment forms do you accept?
We accept Cash, check, Venmo, Cash app, Paypal. Payment is due before or on the day of service. Cash or check may be left on the counter for our team supervisor to pick up. The cash/check must be placed in a sealed envelope to insure your banking information is kept safe and private. There is a $30 charge for returned checks. Please note that by writing a check you are authorizing us to debit those funds from your account.
Q. Insurance, Bonding, Background Checks?
All maids are insured and bonded. In the event anything is accidentally damaged our 2 million dollar comprehensive insurance policy will cover it. All employees undergo a criminal background check prior to employment. We perform a Criminal background check through https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp . Q. Do your maids/cleaning service employees accept tips?
All of our employees are paid a LIVING WAGE. Tips are appreciated but not required and will not affect the quality of your service if you do not do so. If you are unsure how much to tip, 10% to 20% of the price of service is the going rate.
Q. Customer Satisfaction
We guarantee we will make cleaning day your Favorite Day! If for any reason it doesn't, we have a 24 hour "make right" policy to correct anything you may not have been totally satisfied with during our visit.
Q. How do you handle refunds?
Due to the nature of our service, refunds are not given to customers. As stated above, we stand behind our work and will correct anything you are unsatisfied with the next business day.
Q. What should I do about pets?
At Favorite Day we love pets! However, we ask that you have them put away in a safe spot while our crew performing the clean as we cannot be held responsible for pets. We also do not clean pet droppings, kitty litter boxes and the like.
Q. Cleaning Crew?
Every home has its own characteristics and quirks and most customers have some sort of special request. We believe that sending the same crew to your home on a regular basis allows them to become familiar with these specific characteristics and this makes your clean all the more detailed, quick and efficient. In the event of an illness or vacation, we will send a substitute. You can rest assured that this substitute is thoroughly trained in our standard cleaning routine and they will be advised as to any special instructions you have provided with regards to the clean of your home.
Q. Who provides the cleaning supplies?
We bring all cleaning agents needed to complete the clean of your home. However, we are happy to clean with any products that you provide. We will not be responsible for any damage caused by a product that is outside of those that we bring. The only supplies we do not bring are toilet bowl brushes and vacuums. If you do not have a toilet bowl brush, please advise us and we will bring a new toilet bowl brush to keep at your home at a fee. We use your vacuum as transferring a vacuum from home to home is unsanitary. You can easily pick up dog flea eggs or any parasite and transfer it from home to home.
Q. Restorative Cleaning and Wear and Tear?
Our crew is instructed to work a reasonable length of time on it.
Q. What we DON'T do:
At Favorite Day we will bend over backwards to make sure you have the BEST day ever upon the conclusion of our clean. However, to ensure the safety or our staff and to adhere to our insurance policies guidelines, there are some duties and tasks that FD Cleaning is prohibited to perform. These include:
The preparation of meals.
Any pet or child related services.
The use of harsh chemicals, bleach, and products that aren’t considered non-toxic
Bio hazard type cleaning. This includes but not limited to blood, urine, feces, vomit, black mold
Infestations of any kind: bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas etc. If we begin cleaning and there is sign of an infestation, we will promptly stop cleaning and call you to advise. This is out of safety for our crew members and other clients. We cannot risk the transfer of any type of infestation from one home to another.
Grout cleaning, wall washing, power washing
Touching of ANY electronic screens
Moving furniture. If you move furniture prior to our arrival, we will be happy to clean behind it.
Lifting over 30lbs.
Laundry services.
Use of ladders. We are prohibited from standing on anything higher than a small step stool. We have telescopic dusters for high dusting.
